The well dressed beaver

A Beaver in uniform (click to enlage)

The Beaver uniform is simple and distictive, consisting of a brown vest and blue and brown hat. The Vest will be adorned with badges as the Beaver progresses through the program. The hat has a "Beaver Tail" affixed to it and this changes colour as the Beaver progresses through the program.

Once the prospective Beaver has memorized the "Beaver Promise", "Beaver Law" and "Beaver Motto", they are asked to recite these at their "Investiture Ceremony" at which they are awarded their neckerchief and woggle which identifies them as a fully fledged Beaver.

The uniforms are available at Scout Shop in Victoria and the cost is about $25. You may also find second hand uniforms at thrift stores or from families who's Beavers have swum up to cubs. If you are unable to make it into Victoria, we can arrange to purchase a uniform for you and bring it to the Meeting Night.
